AIMS:
Integrated system of quality provision for the university. Quality of the teaching process. Quality of the research process. Integration of teaching and research processes. Student role in faculty and university management. Student and teacher academic performances. Faculty and university business performances. European framework of qualifications. The application of Bologna Declaration.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
The student should understand university reform based on Bologna Declaration. The student should understand the integrated system of university quality and make suggestions for its promotion. He should acquire new learning methods, participate in university management, develop cognitive abilities of a creative engineer, become a member of project teams, understand pedagogic work in secondary and post-secondary schools. The student should be critical of activities and relations between the university and industry.
THEORETICAL TEACHING (Syllabus):
Integration processes in Europe. Declaration of education development. Partial and joint issues of university and industry and joint excellence in business operations. Theory for the design of quality of education integrated system. Models for quality provision. Standards and procedures for quality of education. Quality of teaching and professional training in engineering education. Student cognitive development throughout the teaching process. Teaching, learning and assessment methods. Monitoring student progress throughout studies. Student academic performances. Creative and innovative experts. Teacher andragogic-pedagogic performances. Evaluations and accreditation. Alumni associations. Quality centers and education. Information-communication infrastructure.
PRACTICAL TEACHING (Syllabus):
Quality analysis of engineering education. Methods of development anticipation. Synthesis of integrated education system. Indicators of quality of engineering education. Faculty and university business performances. Teacher andragogic and academic performances. Student work and academic performances. Questionnaire system for students. Alumni – observer status. Learning in depth. Project-oriented teaching. Seminars, conferences, debates. Students develop skills of writing and presenting papers at scientific-professional meetings.
